"Gaijin" A Traveler's Guide to Japan

This “digest size” travel guide was designed to function as a companion to the outsider traveling in Japan. The word gaijin is a Japanese word that literally translates as “outside person.” The term is used to describe Westerners living in or visiting Japan.

Last summer, I had the unique opportunity to travel to Japan. All of the photographs in this magazine were taken during my sightseeing. I was inspired to create this mini-magazine after the immense culture shock and visual stimulation I encountered when visiting this beautiful and electrifying nation.
